About Vidyarambam Trust

Vidyarambam Trust is a Chennai-based non-profit educational organization founded in 2002 by educationist V. Ranganathan. The Trust works to improve learning outcomes among children from underprivileged rural communities across Tamil Nadu.

The initiative began in Vattakottai, Kanyakumari district, where limited educational resources and low student engagement highlighted the need for supplementary learning support. Starting with just 17 students, the organization gradually expanded into a structured, multi-district educational movement.

Today, Vidyarambam operates through village learning centres, school-based support programmes, Easy Learning English (ELE), mobile learning initiatives, and teacher training interventions.

Over the past two decades, Vidyarambam Trust has grown into a strong community-driven educational movement, impacting thousands of children and empowering local teachers across 13 districts of Tamil Nadu. With a continued commitment to early intervention, activity-based learning, and institutional strengthening, the Trust remains dedicated to building strong foundations for lifelong learning.
